The Crib

We found the perfect crib for our baby. The "girly" bedding set is not included of course. Isaac picked this one, and we both love the contemporary style. We sold our extra bedroom furniture set, so we'll have money to buy this crib. We got a pretty good deal. We are going to pick it up this weekend . Finally, we can start setting up our nursery room. We're so excited! Isaac will be the interior designer since it's a boy, and I will be his assistant.

22 Weeks

I have 18 more weeks to go. I don't mind if our son wants to come out 1-2 weeks early. We're so excited to see him. He is so loved. I always tell him how lucky he is, because his parents are A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Specially his Dad.

His Dad bought him a cute winter outfit yesterday. It's size 0-3 months. He'll be able to wear it for 3 months, hopefully! This is my favorite so far. But we both discussed that we're not going buy him anything anymore until after my shower party. I hope I can help it cause there's so many baby stuff, so little money.

If Alex got a little something yesterday, Mama got a little something too. And here they are :
My favorite Mango juice

And more fruits, to keep baby and I healthy and strong! Good job babe!

Saturday Shopping Sale!

I went clothes shopping for our son Alex, for the first time today. It was fun! Almost every thing's on sale today and it was driving me crazy! I wanted to spend! spend! spend! But I don't have that much money :-) I found some Calvin Klein 5 piece set onesies for $12, retail price is $40 and some other 50-60% off clothes. It's a good thing I had a budget, or I'll be out of control! I really don't have to buy a lot of clothes anyway, cause I will have a baby shower pretty soon, and Robin gave me some hand-me-down clothes from my nephew, Tyler.I didn't buy anything for myself and Isaac at all. It's all for our little boy.

I spent $32.86 for all of these. Retail price is $86.23. I'm a good bargain shopper. They're so adorable. Some of the them are for 3-6 months.

What flowers and chocolates can do

Yesterday, I had a terrible mood swing! I kinda want to call my myself a "drama queen", but let me just put it this way... How about it's because of hormonal imbalance? or maybe because I'm pregnant? Whatever the reason was, yesterday,my patience was tested. I got easily irritated with lame reasons. I called Isaac at work many times just to complain and whine. Nice! I totally don't want to do that again of course. I'm just grateful that my husband would let me pour out my feelings, instead of telling me to shut up and leave him alone. It was a long day for Isaac and I. When he got home last night, he surprised me with a bunch of flowers and a Hershey King size bar :-) Oh yes, it totally changed my mood! He also rented a chick flick movie for us to watch while I indulge myself with sugar, and made the baby and I a little hyper.haha! Since I rarely eat chocolate nowadays, just imagine the heavenly feeling and happiness!

here's a picture of my pretty flowers from Isaac.

Could this be the one?

After searching for a stroller and car seat for so long, I finally found the one that I actually like. This might be the one, unless I find a better deal. I just want something affordable, comfortable for the baby, and of course nice. I didn't know that baby stuff can be ridiculously expensive. I found this online at BabiesRus. I can't wait to go to that store and see the actual product for myself.

21 weeks

Just giving you a picture of how big my son is, since I can't show you weekly ultrasound photos. He's 10 and a half inches long now. He is starting to show his martial arts skills more. He kicks a lot now, specially when I'm eating. I love playing the piano for him everyday, mostly classical and Broadway music. I also noticed how good my appetite is. I eat a little bit more now, but I try not to eat too much, cause I don't want him to get so big.

Yummy Apples!

We went to the apple orchard this weekend, and picked some apples. It was pretty fun! I'm making my first apple pie this week.

Update! And pictures of our son.

We're attending a birthing class next month. I think it's important, specially this is our firstchild.I am pretty sure it'll help us be more prepared. I am 21 weeks along now. I'm more than halfway, and I'm so anxious to see our son. I can feel him kick now, and I love that feeling. It's a special connection between me and my Alex David Schaefer. Yes! that's the name of our son. We love it! Here's few of his sonogram pictures. It's not scanned, that explains the blurriness, but he's still adorable!
His cute little feet!

He was sucking his thumb towards the end of the sonogram

I will definitely post a better and clearer photos of him in the near future, when we get a 4D sonogram. For now, enjoy these pictures.

We're having a Baby Boy!

We had our 2nd ultrasound today and we found out what we're having. It's a boy!!! and we're so excited to see his cute little face in a few months! Isaac knew what we're having from the very beginning. He always knew we're going to have a son. We had fun during the ultrasound session. The baby was awake and he was kicking and stretching a lot. It took the technician less than 10 seconds to find out his sex because his legs were spread apart. We saw his cute little toes and Isaac counted them to make sure they're complete. He also counted his fingers.lol. Everything looks good and normal. Towards the end, he started sucking his thumb. It was cute and it made our day. We can't wait to see our little man. We don't have names yet, but we'll eventually know the right name for him soon.

My pregnancy bible

This is what I have been reading lately. I borrowed it from the library and it's very useful. It's a complete sequence of fetal development in utero week by week and guide to early parenthood. It's a pretty cool book. It answered most of my questions. Seriously, I get easily paranoid when I see changes in me. This is my first pregnancy and you can't blame me. I guess it's normal for first time moms. I highly recommend this book for 1st time moms.

This week's highlight

I got a haircut this week. My hair's covering my neck. I look like I dont have a neck.lol
Isaac puts a halo made of wood on his head. Goofball!

We went to LDS visitor center this weekend. We went to see the Jesus Christ Photo Exhibit. It was awesome. We weren't allowed to take pictures, so I can't really show you anything except 2 photos, taken in the Children's playroom. I also forgot the name of the artist, butI intend to find out tomorrow so I can look at his website. He's really an excellent artist.

Labor Day

I love holidays! Today is Labor Day, we both didn't have to work, except that I had few piano lessons with some of my studenst. Not bad at all though. We had a very productive day. We started our day right by giving the missionaries a ride early morning and took them to the laundry place. We picked them up after they were done, and drove them back to their apartment. Then we spent a couple of hours cleaning the entire house and did some laundry. Our home sweet home smells fresher and cleaner now. I'm in my best mood when the house is spotless ;-) Since I was an angel, Isaac bought me a a nice pair of black maternity pants which I do love! and bought me some favorite Filipino goodies (my simple pleasure).I did not ask for a reward, but apparently, I deserve it :-) After a long busy day, Isaac fixed an awesome dinner...

He's not ashame to admit that he loves cooking! What a sweet man. Lucky me!

Welcome Autumn!

Summer is almost over and I'm ready to say Sayonara to summer. I don't seem to mind. I am ready for a change anyway. The weather is getting cooler and nicer. I love autumn! It's just beautiful and colorful outside, and the perfect time to take lots of amazing photos. So watch out and be amazed with my photos soon!

We are planning to pick apples and pumpkins this year. We did not do that last year because we went back to the Philippines. So this year, we're not going miss all the fun family activities.

One of my goals this fall is to learn how to bake a pumpkin pie. Isaac will teach me how :-) Wish me luck!

Blue or Pink Room?

This picture will tell you how big my baby is. We're supposed to know the baby's gender this Monday, but since it's a holiday, we had to wait till the 14th of September.BUMMER!!! Oh! I can't really wait. We are very excited to set up a nursery room.

We're going to throw a gender party. It's Isaac's brilliant idea. We're gonna get together with the family and have this gender party that I've never heard before. They'll all have to guess the gender of the baby by writing it on a small paper. We're gonna reveal the gender to them tru a special cake. Isaac should be the one explaining this actually. I don't know what else will happen since he's the host of the party. But it should be super fun!!!

Grandpa Schaefer Funeral

Isaac's grandpa passed away exactly a week ago. I only met him once early this year, and I'm glad that I had that opportunity. He was a very sweet and nice man. Attending his funeral was a very sad moment, but it's also comforting to know that families can be together forever. Life is eternal and death is rebirth. Someday, we will be reunited with our loved ones.

Date night with my boyfriend

Last week was quite stressful for both us. I'm not gonna mention all the details, but this week is so much better. Last night, Isaac took me out on a date. He got home early. We had a nice dinner in a restaurant and then went for a long walk and talked about our future plans. It was nice and quiet, the weather was perfect. Somehow, I still feel like we just got married last week, although it's already 20 lbs ago and counting ...okay, maybe not 20 lbs! But it'll be in the next few months:-) I love spending quality time with my Gentleman.
