This is Isaac writing to all my fans out there

Hey everyone. Well I have had a lot of firsts lately. I had my first wreck with another car and it was a a bad one. I'm glad the other person was okay from what I heard. I was unconscious for about 20 min after the impact so i never had the opportunity to meet them. So that was a first (Being unconscious for that long) There was one time I was knocked out but it was only for a few seconds. I was running down the stairs at my mom and dads house when I was younger and my head hit a beam going above the stairs. It hit me square on the forehead and left an embarrasing mark for a day or two. At least with this time I have a cool cut above my eye like a superhero or something. I had a first riding in an ambulance. I was in too much pain though to look around or ask to sit in the driver seat but the ceiling in there looked pretty cool I guess. I also had my clothes ripped off of me! Coat, pants, shirt, undershirt, and even part of my underwear! It was by a man with big arms and a scruffy beard! Arrrgh not a good sight to wake up too. But it was all for a good reason i guess. I had my first CAT scan (wasnt impressed) I was in pain and cold. My first stay in the hospital has been ok. Been sleepy alot. food isnt too bad. but trying to sleep is hard. well im going to sleep now or take a nap.bye;) Too be continued...

P.S
Don't worry about me. I still look hot!!!

latest news

December 9, 2008 12:10pm, I have received the worst phone call ever. Early that morning, my husband showed up at work and brought me my favorite breakfast. He loves to surprise me at work once in while with breakfast or flowers. He was telling me that we're getting 3 inches of snow and that I should be very cautious going home. Only to find out later that day that he's in a bad car accident. A nurse from the hospital called me at work and told me that my husband had a car accident on his way to work and he's in the emergency room. She told me to relax, drive carefully to the hospital as soon as I can. Okay, I thought at first that it was a crazy prank caller. Why would someone do this to me? So I called Isaac's cellphone to make sure it's real. The nurse answered his phone and handed it to him because I insisted that I should to talk to him or at least hear his voice. As soon as I heard his voice, I was just ready to freak out because I can tell that he's in a lot of pain, but I stayed very calm. I don't know how I managed it but somehow I did.I remember his exact words " Baby, I think I broke something. But I'll be fine" And then the Nurse took over our very short conversation and told me politely that Isaac can't talk longer. Shortly after, I called my father-in-law and told them what happened. My sister-in-law Robin took me to the hospital. I was too exhausted to drive. When we got there, we waited for a while until after all his tests. They found 2 broken ribs, bruised spleen, bruised lung and a cut in his forehead.Isaac's Dad and our Bishop gave him a blessing and it really helped a lot.Not only to him but also to me.There's no super major injury, thanks goodness! I saw the car yesterday and it's totaled.I saw blood inside and truly it's a miracle that he's alive. The most important thing to me is, he's alive and conscious! We are so blessed. We're still here at the hospital. It's our second day, but the doctor said that we might be able to go home tomorrow or until he can take oral pain reliever. The first night was really tough. The nurse had to inject morphin in him every hour for pain reliever. He was in a lot of pain.We didn't sleep good at all. But last night was so much better. He slept pretty much through the night. They injected morphin every 4 hours. I can tell he's improving although he's still sore all over which is normal. He's been walking a little bit today. He's on emergency leave right now. A lot of his friends from work called and came to visit him. We're very grateful for our family and friends for their love and support. Thank you for all your prayers. This accident made me realized how much I love my husband. Despite of everything, we are grateful for all our trials. It truly brings us closer to God, family and friends.I know he will recover quickly.Heavenly Father is healing him. Isaac wants you to know that he'll be fine and he'll be dancing soon.

Elder Romarate

Meet my youngest brother, Elder Joseph Romarate. He's currently serving a full-time mission in Bacolod, one of the most beautiful islands in the philippines. We call him a "Giant" because he's pretty tall. He's 6'2 the last time I saw him and it seemed so long ago. He's not just a "giant" to me but also a spiritual giant. His strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ strengthens my own testimony.I am so proud of my brother. He is such a blessing to us. Whenever I see his mission pictures, it reminds me of the good old days when I, myself was a missionary like him. It was truly a blessing for me to serve a full-time mission...not one moment of my mission life I considered it a sacrifice.I can truly say that It was the best 18 months of my life and it went by so fast. I'm grateful for that once in a lifetime opportunity.I would love to to it again with my husband someday.I'm thankful for all the Missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I do hope and pray that my youngest brother-inlaw Jesse will decide to go on a mission too :-)

freaky, pretty or funny?

I found this website where you can "Yearbook Yourself". I used Isaac's picture and I picked the 60's look. Now Schaefers, tell me, who's the fairest one of all? Hah!

Who says baking is a girl thing?

My husband is not a pastry chef but he can bake like a "pro". It's his natural talent which he discovered 2 years ago when I demanded that he should bake my 1st birthday cake here in MO. He was hesitant at first but he did it anyway ( It's all because of love baby...awww). For my first birthday,he made me a black forest cake which probably took him approximately 4 hours.I was restricted to go to the kitchen and watch him though. I was very impressed with the outcome. It was also very delectable. And then last year, he made a chocolate cake with cherry filling and strawberry icing. It's fabulous as you can see. I married a sweet man who bakes delicious cakes. Anyway, you're probably wondering why I'm blogging about this. Well, next week is my birthday. We'll see if I'm getting a cake this year.

Winter is back!!!

I'm not sure if it's officially winter but it already snowed last sunday and today. It was more like a surprise to me because it was definitely unexpected. The reason behind, is because I don't watch the weather channel. I don't watch TV that much anyway. But I must admit that it was a pretty sunday morning. For the first time, I was happy to see the snow. It was very unusual to me because I'm not a winter person. I grew up in the Philippines and I'm a self-proclaimed island prinsesa ...go figure!
This is only my 3rd winter. My main goal is to love and enjoy it (wish me luck) It's not gonna be easy though because I hate driving in the snow and I get so cold easily. But I can do it, with the help of my killer lookin' fabulous 50% off snow boots.Yay!
About the picture I posted, this picture was taken during my first winter.Obviosly,I was so thrilled to build my first snow man. And then right after that, I asked Isaac a very important question "When is spring coming?"
