This super cute video was taken 2 weeks ago when I was teaching him how to say "hello". He's a fast learner. Alex is seriously a smart baby. He can now say words like: "Hi", "Baba" at 4 months. Those are words that he'll actually repeat when you ask him to say it. His favorite word is "Hello" or (He-yo). He'll say it a lot with a smile nowadays. It melts my heart everytime. He is a sweet little boy. Enjoy watching this video!

It's summertime!
We took Alex to the pool for the 1st time. He was so confused at first because the water was cold and he's not used to it. We thought he'll cry but he loved it! He had a blast playing and kicking in the pool. Although he's coated with lots of sunblock, he still tanned a little bit. I tanned a lot. Isaac though, looks hot in his swim wear :) Too bad i didn't get a picture of him since he was the photographer.

He is finally wearing shoes!

Today is a special day for our Alex. He wore shoes at church for the first time! It's about time because he loves standing a lot. Our Doctor told us that letting our baby go barefoot as much as possible is the best way to develop our baby's feet. When he's barefoot, he can wiggle his toes, balance , and push off with his feet muscles. He also told us to get our baby his first pair of shoes when he begins standing and make sure the shoes are wide enough for our child's foot to lie flat, and long enough for a little extra room to wiggle and grow, maybe one-half inch beyond the toes...yada yada yada! I am not against to those parents who put on shoes to their newborn. I think it's super adorable. It's just our personal decision and we just decided to listen to our doctor's advice. After all, it'll save us money :) But I gotta admit that we're just weird parents sometimes hahaha... It was fun looking forward to this day though. We were both thrilled! Including Alex.
So we bought him some pair of cute shoes this week (all on sale). It has to be on sale because they grow so fast. I learned my lesson about shopping stuffs for babies. I let Daddy picked all of them by the way.
Here are his few pair of shoes that his Daddy picked for him:

Hopefully, he'll be able to wear them for a long time. We bought bigger sizes so it won't be hard on his cute feet. He wore the light brown one today...Super adorable!!!
he can sit uo very well. He can even sit up without back support for a few seconds. This boy wait to grow up and do fun activities with his Dad. Too bad my Child, you will be Mommy's baby boy forever! Bwahahahahaha!

my little jumper
I also took a short clip. We'll probably let him play with his jumper twice a week for now until he turns 4 months. By then he'll be a pro.

New Ride
This strong baby loves to stand up whenever we hold him. He discovered, he has strong legs. He is growing so fast too. At 2 months and 3 weeks, he measures 26 inches long. He's not getting fat, but he's getting taller. I am happy for that growth spurt. I guess because he sleeps through the night... maybe.
Since he loves standing up (with our support of course) Isaac and I decided that we should buy him a baby walker. He's not gonna start walking anytime soon but he can sit there and chill.
So this morning, Daddy surprised little Alex with a new toy...

My tough guy!
Alex had 3 vaccinations this week. He got a total of 2 shots. The other shot was 2 in 1. He was a trooper. We were very worried for him. I thought he would scream. But he did great! He also had his 8-week check-up. He's very healthy. He's growing so fast and is getting heavier. He weighs 12.12 lbs and measures 24.25 inches long. I guess he's going to be taller than his Dad someday.
Here are some heartwarming pictures before his shots:

Alex's first laugh!
I heard Alex's first laugh when he was about 4 weeks old. It was a 2-second laugh and he was asleep. It was the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. He would always laugh in his sleep. I would try to make him laugh when he's awake, but he'll only give me smiles, toots, and coos.
But today, he laughed for the first time with his eyes wide open. I am so happy because he's not asleep this time. I found his tickle spot and he laughed like a baby goat. It was so hilarious! The neatest part was, I made him laugh! I am one proud Momma! What an accomplishment! :-)
But you wanna know the BEST part? I got it on video. Oh yeah!
Enjoy this video. Don't mind my super annoying voice! That's just how I play with him sometimes and he loves it! Anyways, this video will make you SMILE!!!

Thumbsucking VS. Binkie
My little guy discovered how to suck his thumb on his own. And boy he loves it... I think it's cute. However, I have to break this habit now while he's not capable of touching dirty things, cause it won't be as cute when he's older. And it'll be harder to break that habit.
So I found a solution...the BINKIE!!! He hates it though, but I'd rather him suck his binkie than his thumb. Plus it'll be easier for me to throw the binkie away when he's older. He'll probably cry, but it'll be easier for him to forget about it than his cute little thumb.
So Mommy kinda forced him to suck his binkie . Here's a video:
It didn't work at first... But after many attempts (I am talking about 2 days) he finally decided to take it!

My 5-week-old baby
Alex is just growing so fast. I think he's going to be very tall someday. He wears 3M clothes now. Thank goodness I did not buy lots of clothes! He wears size 1-2 diaper now. We still have lots of Newborn size diapers in his closet, and we're saving it for our next baby :-)
He enjoys music a lot and cuddle time with Mommy and Daddy. He loves his mobile and other toys. He listens when we talk to him. He coos and smiles a lot . He laughed for the first time this week and I almost jumped for joy! It was the cutest sound ever! He sleeps 5-hour-straight at night now and we're getting more sleep. He is such a good baby. He is every inch of an Angel and we just LOVE him SO MUCH!!!!
