10 more to go!!!

I lost 21 lbs in 3 and a half weeks! YAY ME!!! I don't even know why I'm blogging about this.But I would love to look back on this page a month after. I stepped on my scale this morning and I felt really good. 10 more lbs to go and I'm back in my pre-preggo weight. It'll be hard for sure! I still look big, but not that big anymore :-) I still need more determination to shed this extra weight. I don't need it really.

Garlic Shrimp with Brocolli

I am finally back in the kitchen! Actually, since Sunday. We didn't really cook a lot for the past 2 weeks since we got home from the hospital. Our friends and family brought us dinner for the 1st week. It was nice. But I'm glad that I am fully recovered now, and I can cook and clean the house while Alex is asleep... not to mention blogging. I love cooking and learning new recipe.

Right now, we are on a strict diet . We're both trying to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle. We'll start by eating right. No more junk food... Okay, maybe once in a while.

For dinner tonight, I decided to cook one my favorites! Garlic shrimp with broccoli, YUM!!! It's super good and healthy. Isaac loved it! And of course, since we're trying to lose weight, we only eat half cup of rice per meal. No more unlimited rice. And no more eating while watching TV.

My goal this year is to learn more good and healthy recipes. I would love to be the BEST chef in my small family.

Beautifully Imperfect

I love this commercial. It is very inspiring! Towards the end of the commercial, it made me miss my Father, who passed away when I was 4. I know he's happy to see my imperfect, yet beautiful life. I am blessed to have a husband who is just like my Dad...a wonderful husband and a father. Despite of my husband's imperfection, he is the perfect match for me, and i love him with all my heart!

Mister Panda Bear

Today, he fell asleep by just staring at Mr.Panda Bear (His first stuffed toy from Grandma Vicki) We try not to carry him all the time when he's awake, so he will not get used to it. He's such a good baby. Since 3 days ago, he'll let me sleep 4-5 hours straight at night. I think we will not have a hard time training him to sleep through the night when he's older.I still have to wake him up at 12 midnight to nurse him. After feeding time, we'll cuddle a little bit and then he'll fall asleep till 5am, or a little over than that. At first I was worried...My mother-in-law told me not to worry 'cause he will wake up when he's hungry. He sure does! I am sleeping more at night now. I think I won't be needing my eye cream soon :-)

It's gray!

I took a close-up picture of his eyes so you'll see his eye color. It's light gray and kinda bluish! It's so beautiful! I am so jealous ;-) Isaac's eye color is light blue, and mine is brown. So I guess it's a combination...a PERFECT combination! Click on the photo so you'll see a bigger picture.

Alex is 3 weeks old!

Our little guy is growing so fast! Last week, he weighed 8.12 lbs and measured 21 inches long. He now weighs 9.9 lbs and measures 22 inches long and he's only 3 weeks old. A lot of his newborn clothes won't fit him anymore and he only wore them once or twice. Next week, he's going to start wearing a size 1 diaper instead of a newborn size.Oh man! he's getting heavier and longer each week! The doctor says that he's very healthy! We are very happy to know that.

Alex got a gift card from our good friends. We decided to use it and got him some little clothes. They are pretty darn cute! He's gonna be the talk of the town when he wears them ;-) Thanks to Brian and Pete for the gift card.



I am having another shower party 1st week of march. Alex is one lucky guy! He's getting more presents. I am one happy Momma!!!

20 days old

He's getting more curious and more attentive with colors and sounds

His hair is turning light brown. He's getting whiter too. He's a very cute Filipino-American baby boy! I will proudly say that WE DID A GREAT JOB!!!

Tomorrow will be his 3 weeks check-up! I will definitely take more pictures of him awake. It's kinda hard to take a picture of him with his eyes open, mainly because he's asleep most of the time, or the camera flash makes him shut his eyes. We're also planning to take a studio family picture soon. I'll wait till he's month old. Who knows? I'll be skinny by then (*haha! wishful thinking*)

For Lola Carol

My mom wants to hear my baby cry. But every time I call her, Alex's either asleep or just super happy. I don't have the heart to pinch him so he'll cry ;) He only cries when he needs a diaper change or when he's hungry. Other than that, he's a happy baby boy!

Yesterday, he was throwing a big fit because he was hungry and had a poopy diaper. I decided to grab my video cam and recorded this one.

He looks so tiny in his crib. I know someday, he will be too big to sleep in this crib. I think I will cry when that time comes... Just watching him made me realized how blessed we are to have him in our lives. He is such an inspiration to us in so many ways.
This week, I've had so many Mommy moments. It usually happens during feeding time at 3:00 in the morning. If you ask me WHY? Because after feeding time, he would usually stay awake 2-3 hours, or until his next feeding time. It was really hard for me at first. I got so tired and a little bit cranky. But I am pretty much adjusted now. During his waking moment, I would sing to him, hold him, touch his tiny face and talk to him like a grown man. His eyes would meet mine and then wander, as if he's pondering every word I say. His facial expressions would make me laugh so hard that I would wake Isaac up. Sometimes, I would just stare at him and smile for a long time...then cry a little (it's not post-par tum. It's tears of joy) I love being his mother. He is such a good baby.

Sleeping is my favorite hobby!

I smile a lot when I'm asleep. Angels visit me in my dreams...

I know I look sooo adorable! My cheeks are so kissable and I smell so Heavenly. Mommy loves kissing me! When it's time to eat, she'll kiss me non-stop until I wake up.....

When I'm awake, Mommy would quickly grab her camera and take lots of pictures of me! I don't mind though... if it makes her happy...

So yeah,a little smile from me can make my mommy's heart melt :-)

Alex knows how to complain...

My baby boy is super adorable. He's showing his cute personality already. I took a video of him complaining about his hiccups...super C-U-T-E!!! I love this boy!

I LOVE!!!

I can't wait for spring! I am so ready to get out and start walking at the park with Alex. Isaac got me a cool pair of fitness shoes for valentine. He knows that I am so desperate to lose weight. I want my pre-preggo weight back before summer and maybe lose a little bit more. I just don't want to buy some new pair of jeans.


I gained a whooping 31 lbs. in my pregnancy! Yeah, that's a lot of weight but it's worth it! I did lose 19 lbs in 2 weeks. Water weight is so easy to lose though. But the rest of the weight, I definitely need to work out!

2 weeks old

He's just darn cute!

Alex is 2 weeks old today. We went to his pediatrician to check his weight. He now weighs 8lbs and 12oz. A big HOORAY for that!!! He gained weight and he's very healthy. I'm positively sure that I'm feeding him right :-) Breast milk is truly BEST for baby! I am happy that I can provide food for my little guy.

My Valentine's day is extra special this year, because I get to celebrate it with my BOYS! They are the reason why I am the happiest woman in the world!

I love my Man!

Isaac is such a wonderful husband and a father. I can honestly say that he's a champ when it comes to Alex. He can put him to sleep fast, sing him a sweet lullaby, change his diapers etc... He also takes good care of me. He makes sure that I eat right and get plenty of rest. He cleans the house without being told. I know he's tired from work, and yet I don't hear a single complain. Alex and I are so blessed to have him in our lives. So I would love to give my man a shout-out! "Isaac, your are the BEST!"

Child of Mine

I still can't believe that I am a Mother now. Alex is such a wonderful baby. He is perfect! and words cannot express how much I love him. I am so proud to be his mother. I still get so emotional every time he falls asleep peacefully in my arms. I consider it a very special moment. He is a child of mine, and I feel so blessed for the opportunity to raise him in this world. He is a special gift from my Heavenly Father.

Alex is 1 week old today

Exactly 1 week ago, I saw the most beautiful baby in the world. His name is Alex, and he is my son. It was love at first sight...

Truly it is a life changing to be a Mother. It's not that easy... but with one little smile from my son, my heart melts. All those sleepless nights... and more and more sleepless nights to come, is worth it. I love my little guy and I cannot imagine my life without him.

Time: 10:21 AM
Weight: 8.7 LBS
Height: 21 inchesOur First Family picture after 28 hours and 30 minutes of labor. My water broke at 6 AM. Labor pain didn't start until I was induced. It started after 4 hours. I got an epidural when I was 3cm dilated which was 12 hours later. Progression was just super slow and the nurse told me that I might end up getting a C-section if I don't dilate more within 24 hours, so the baby won't get an infection. After 24 hours, I started progressing. It was a relief when the doctor said they can wait and observe few more hours since Alex is doing great inside my belly! It was a long journey. Longer than I expected. The pushing part was hard. It took me almost 2 hours. Alex's just so big. But I am glad I had an epidural. I didn't feel any pain at all except a little pressure. It worked 100% on me.Isaac was an awesome labor coach. I wished somebody recorded him at that moment. He made it easier for me and I was so determined to keep on going because of him. I had a normal delivery and we are so grateful for that. We made it! Alex is here and he's every inch of an ANGEL. He's so worth it!
