Alex is growing way too fast. He can say a lot of words and tries to communicate with us. He will call his Dad "Isaac" sometimes. He would say "Heck no!" and  "Oh yeah" a lot and he's so funny! When he's in trouble, he will say "uh- oh! or "oh no". He's very adventurous  like me and so kind and sweet like his Daddy. He's such joy!

So the latest news is,  we're expecting baby number 2! WOO- HOO! I am 10 weeks pregnant. We saw her heartbeat 2 weeks ago. Everything is good! We're are so excited! Alex will have a little sister or brother this year or early next year. I still cant believe that our little family is growing. I feel so blessed! I'll try to keep you updated! I'll post a picture of my belly soon. Right now it's still tiny ( well not so tiny) but I don't look pregnant yet.. So I'll wait a couple of weeks till the baby bump shows.

My boy is 4 month-old yesterday. He weighs 16.8 lbs and measures 27 inches. He's getting really heavy. He had his 4-month shots yesterday he was totally a trooper. His doctor says that he's very healthy and strong!

New Tricks:

*He can say "Hi" loud and clear (it's his first word)He'll repeat it after I say Hi. So it's not a coincident. He can really say the word.

*He'll open and shut his hands when I sing twinkle twinkle little star or Open Shut song.

*He can reach his toes and hold them and even try to suck them. He's flexible.

We love our baby so much and we enjoy every moment with him. We love watching him grow and learning new things. He's a smart and sweet baby. The only time he cries is when he's hungry. He's an easy baby. He's already spoiling us :)

Alex's daily activities

Since he started sleeping 8 hours straight at night (and even more sometimes), he's more awake during the day. So I make sure he's busy during the day. Here are some of his favorite activities :

Reading time with Mommy

This little boy loves books! He's a bookworm in the making. I made him hold his favorite book and took this picture. As you can see, he's very interested with the book. I can even read it to him many times during the day. He's a very attentive 2-month-old baby. He loves colorful pictures and shinny objects.

He loves music time

He enjoys playing the piano (just like his Mommy). He loves the sound a lot that he giggles and drools like crazy...hahaha!

Our pet, Charlie is already admiring him for his outstanding talent.hahaha!

His other activities during the day includes: Tummy time, bath, chilling on his play mat, hanging-out with Dad when he gets home, eat, short naps, tickle time and making our hearts melt. He's so PRECIOUS.

Tips for Mommies

Here's my baby's sleeping schedule:

8:00PM- Off to bed

12:00 AM- Feeding time and and diaper change. He usually goes back to sleep when he's full. That's 30 minutes to an hour... and then he sleeps 5-6 hours straight after that.

Thank goodness he finally has a schedule. I am hoping he'll sleep longer in a month or 2. Did I tell you he's such a good baby? :-)

So here's my secret that I wanna share. After his feeding time between 6-7 PM, that's when I give him his bath and baby massage. I use these products :

I usually don't promote baby products in my blog, but these products really work! The smell is so good and calming. As for the baby massage, thanks to YOUTUBE for this video:

Our munchkin is growing so fast

Alex is just growing so fast. I think he's going to be very tall someday. He wears 3M clothes now. Thank goodness I did not buy lots of clothes! He wears size 1-2 diaper now. We still have lots of Newborn size diapers in his closet, and we're saving it for our next baby :-)
He enjoys music a lot and cuddle time with Mommy and Daddy. He loves his mobile and other toys. He listens when we talk to him. He coos and smiles a lot . He laughed for the first time this week and I almost jumped for joy! It was the cutest sound ever! He sleeps 5-hour-straight at night now and we're getting more sleep. He is such a good baby. He is every inch of an Angel and we just LOVE him SO MUCH!!!!

Mister Panda Bear

Today, he fell asleep by just staring at Mr.Panda Bear (His first stuffed toy from Grandma Vicki) We try not to carry him all the time when he's awake, so he will not get used to it. He's such a good baby. Since 3 days ago, he'll let me sleep 4-5 hours straight at night. I think we will not have a hard time training him to sleep through the night when he's older.I still have to wake him up at 12 midnight to nurse him. After feeding time, we'll cuddle a little bit and then he'll fall asleep till 5am, or a little over than that. At first I was worried...My mother-in-law told me not to worry 'cause he will wake up when he's hungry. He sure does! I am sleeping more at night now. I think I won't be needing my eye cream soon :-)

It's gray!

I took a close-up picture of his eyes so you'll see his eye color. It's light gray and kinda bluish! It's so beautiful! I am so jealous ;-) Isaac's eye color is light blue, and mine is brown. So I guess it's a combination...a PERFECT combination! Click on the photo so you'll see a bigger picture.

Alex got a gift card from our good friends. We decided to use it and got him some little clothes. They are pretty darn cute! He's gonna be the talk of the town when he wears them ;-) Thanks to Brian and Pete for the gift card.



I am having another shower party 1st week of march. Alex is one lucky guy! He's getting more presents. I am one happy Momma!!!

20 days old

He's getting more curious and more attentive with colors and sounds

His hair is turning light brown. He's getting whiter too. He's a very cute Filipino-American baby boy! I will proudly say that WE DID A GREAT JOB!!!

Tomorrow will be his 3 weeks check-up! I will definitely take more pictures of him awake. It's kinda hard to take a picture of him with his eyes open, mainly because he's asleep most of the time, or the camera flash makes him shut his eyes. We're also planning to take a studio family picture soon. I'll wait till he's month old. Who knows? I'll be skinny by then (*haha! wishful thinking*)

Sleeping is my favorite hobby!

I smile a lot when I'm asleep. Angels visit me in my dreams...

I know I look sooo adorable! My cheeks are so kissable and I smell so Heavenly. Mommy loves kissing me! When it's time to eat, she'll kiss me non-stop until I wake up.....

When I'm awake, Mommy would quickly grab her camera and take lots of pictures of me! I don't mind though... if it makes her happy...

So yeah,a little smile from me can make my mommy's heart melt :-)

Alex was probably 1 hour old here. He's just so adorable. We love this little man to pieces!

Is It Tomorrow?

Tomorrow is my estimated due date. I will be 40 weeks pregnant. Hooray! It feels like an achievement to me. I have mixed emotions right now.I can have the baby tomorrow, or maybe next week for sure. I can really tell that our baby is running out of space and he's ready to greet the world. I am guessing he's going to be a big baby. I am not worried about pain anymore because I am getting an epidural. I think it'll be easier for me and Isaac.

We shall see if tomorrow is the big day. What do you think?

39 weeks along

I have exactly one week before his due date. Our baby boy is going to greet the world soon. I hope and pray I am dilating more, and that he will arrive on or before his due date. My belly is huge! I feel like I'm carrying a heavy watermelon. I guess that's the reason why I'm clumsy for the past few days. I hate that I had to pee a lot and the intervals are 1 hour apart. Not fun but this too shall pass :-) Okay, I don't want to complain and complain here. I do have some good news. My good news is, my feet are not swollen anymore and I only had a leg cramp once for the past 3 weeks. No more heartburn too.Foot massage really helps. As for my appetite, it's great! I have to watch out sometimes.

I hope this will be my last blog about my pregnancy. Don't get me wrong, I love being pregnant. I would love to be pregnant again next year. But for now, I am a little bit tired of daydreaming about holding my little boy. I just want to see him and give him lots of little kisses.

Update!

We went to doctor yesterday for my weekly appointment. I am happy to know that our baby is growing well and his heart beat is normal. As for me, everything is normal. I am 2cm dilated. Good to know that there's a little progression. His due date is next week, January 30. We are very thrilled to see him. I have a feeling that he's going to come out on time. BUT, If ever he decides not to come out on time, then I will be induced and we get to pick his birth date. We already waited for several months. A week or a little over a week is not a long wait.
Oh how I love this little baby. He his not only a dream come true, but also a JOY to Isaac and I. I pray to God that we will be wonderful parents to him.

38 weeks "buntis"

The waiting game begins now. We are totally excited to see our baby.This morning, Isaac was talking to our baby and telling him to come out already. He responded with a kick! I guess he's trying to tell his Dad to stop forcing him :-)

I am doing just fine. I wake up a lot at night to go to the bathroom . But I still sleep good. My feet are kinda swollen now, which is normal. It's hard to put on my tennis shoes and paint my nails. Last night, I asked Isaac to paint my nails, so even if it's a little swollen, it's still pretty :-)

I am excited for next doctor's appointment this Wednesday. I can't wait to hear more progression. It won't be long for sure. For now, we'll just have to deal with this waiting game.

37 weeks preggo

Today is a very special day for me because my baby is now full-term. It means, if he arrives today like his cousin Darren, his lungs is fully matured and ready to adjust on the outside world. But seriously, I don't think he wants to come out yet. Whenever he's ready, we're ready!
This week, I get a lot of Braxton hicks. Not that bad though. I just drink plenty of water and rest when it occurs. It's also harder to sleep through the night and get a comfortable position.It won't be long till Alex's arrival. I have 21 days to go or less. I guess, I have to be more patient. They say that when your due date is close, it feels like forever. It's so true!!!
