My new model

Her best shot

Midori Sakura

She looks whiter with flash

Meet my new model, Midori . She's an elegant china doll that I bought on sale from an Asian gift shop. Since Isaac won't pose for me because he's a stubborn model, mainly because he has no talent fee, I practiced on this china doll. She never complains. Photography is so much fun! It's like going to a spa to unwind and release your stress. But this is so much better. And by the way, our basement is going to be my mini studio soon. My next model is going to be Symber. I hope she'll be as good as Midori. No pressure Symber.

Isaac's little corner

We bought this fabulous ratan papasan chair few days ago and Isaac loves it so much because it's very comfy!I'm beginning to think that he loves that chair more than the kitchen now but not more than me though. He reads and takes a nap in that chair (not in the restroom anymore.yay!)It's also his "thinking chair". We bought it from Pier Import, which is one of my favorite stores here. And yeah, I'm doing a free advertisement. I found a lot of nice asian home decor from that store which some, are made in the philippines by the way. It's pretty cool!

Money Tree

Few days ago, we went to a chinese store and my husband bought this money tree without my approval. It's $4 and I told him it's not worth it plus i only like bamboo ornaments inside the house, but he bought it anyway. We're not superstitious but according to Isaac, it's worth a shot and there's nothing to lose. Money might not grow on trees but it is believed to bring good fortune and prosperity to all who possess it . My chinese friends believe that Money trees represent wealth and abundance in feng shui. The money will become more and more as the tree becomes bigger and bigger. Chinese like to display money trees in the house foretelling good omen for the coming year in Chinese New Year 2009. So anyway, when we got home, Isaac placed his money tree on his table beside his bed and was teasing me that I'm not going to get any money because I didn't buy one. The following day, I told my mother-in-law about the money tree and how Isaac was teasing me all night. That same day, I checked our mail and my jaw dropped because Isaac got a good cheque from the insurance company. And he got another one this week which is totally a blessing in disguise. So I guess, he's right when he said " its worth the shot and there's nothing to lose" Now that's a good luck sentence!
KUNG HEI FAT CHOI to all my chinese friends! Happy Chinese New Year!

Isaac's Batman Birthday Cake

We celebrated Isaac's birthday with our family yesterday. It was fun! We bought a Rockband set for his PS3 and it's pretty cool! I especially love the drums. Like what I've said before, I'm natural rocker...and so is mother-in-law!!!She played the drums and she nailed it! But it's sad to say, nobody can beat me at this point :-) I'm still the greatest rocker among the Schaefer clan! Oh year Isaac, you may now weep!

!

Isaac, I just want you to know that I love you very much and I will be forever grateful that you crossed half-way around the world to find me...
Now, I may get kind of moody when I've had a lousy day,
sometimes I just won't listen no matter what you say.
And other times I say "I told you so" when you have made a mistake...
then force you to watch chick flick movie with me when you're trying to take a break.
Though my mood swings might drive you up the wall...
As long as we're together, I'm the Happiest wife of all.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!
