11-29-09

I can't believe it's been a week since I blogged. It's also hard to believe that it's almost December. We had a wonderful thanksgiving day. Isaac had to work that day though, but he got home at 3pm. Just in in time to bake some hot jalapeno with bacon and cream cheese, and Green bean casserole. It was pretty good. We had our thanksgiving dinner at my sister-in-law's house, with the rest of the family. I pretty much ate a lot.Everything was good. The smoked turkey was fantastic! No wonder my belly is getting bigger.

The following day was "Black Friday Madness Shopping". Sales were everywhere. It started at 12 midnight and ended at 1pm. It was crazy. I didn't go this year though. I was just too tired.

I'm very excited for Christmas. We're not gonna buy anything fancy this year. We'll just buy each other a little present and spend time with our family. And that's more than enough for us. We already got our biggest early Christmas present... A little baby boy from God, who will be here in 8 weeks. I couldn't ask for more. I feel like I already have everything I've ever wanted. And I am very grateful for that.

We put cars design to add color

My little corner/ nursing station :-)
That's the 2nd hand dresser that we bought from craigslist for a very cheap price. Isaac painted it black, and it looks brand new now! The recliner and ottoman is from my sister-in-law, Robin. I love that Chair. It's very comfortable.

Stake Conference

Yesterday was our stake conference. It was extra special and very memorable to us. Elder Russel M. Neilson, one of the quorum of the 12 apostles was there. He gave a very inspiring talk. He talked a lot of things. What inspires me most, was when he emphasized the importance of raising our children in a Christ-like way. During his talk, he asked all the primary children to stand up and sing, "I am a Child of God". It's one of my favorite primary songs, and the first song I've learned when I was a child. The spirit was so strong and it was truly an honor to be there.I'm grateful for the gospel in my life. I am grateful for the latter-day revelations from our prophets. What a blessing it is, to be in this last dispensation. I am truly humbled to be part of this world, and to know the plan of God.

Isaac's a must-see baby picture

I had a dream a few weeks ago about our baby boy. I was holding him in my dream, and he looked exactly like Isaac, except that he had dark hair and light brown eyes. He's so cute. I wonder if he will really look exactly like his Dad. I don't mind. After all, my husband is handsome.

Here's a baby picture of Isaac. He was 5 months old here. And boy! He's freaking adorable or what?! Alex, you gotta be cuter than your dad...

28 weeks. 3rd and last trimester!

Here's a little peek of a 28-week-old baby. Alex is getting so big. According to babycenter website, a 28-week-old baby weighs 2 and a quarter pound. It's hard to believe that I only have approximately 12 weeks to go. Our nursery room is almost finished. We need to paint the dresser and the bookshelf to match the crib. And then, it's finished! I already decorated his room, and it looks adorable. I will be posting pictures next week.

Alex is more active now. I can tell he's stronger through his kicks. I felt his hiccups few times this week. It's kinda weird, but I enjoyed it. He would sometimes punch and kick in the middle of the night and wake me up. I don't mind though. I love it! It's a reminder to me that there's a little baby inside me...alive and kicking, waiting for my hugs and and kisses .

Glucose test is coming up this Tuesday. I hope I'll pass. My doctors appointment will be every two weeks after Tuesday. I will have have to set an appointment with the chiropractor, so I won't have to suffer severe back aches.

As for my appetite! It's great! I don't want to see the scale lately though. I still fit with all my maternity jeans. I don't think I have to buy bigger ones anymore. Unless, I start eating like crazy, which I don't intend to do.

Shower Parties!

I love shower parties! I love the fun and games. I especially enjoy watching the mom-to-be opening all these adorable presents for her little one. Now it's my turn! I'm having 2 shower parties. The first one will be on November 23, hosted by my sister and mom-in-law, the second one will be on the 5th of December at my work. I'm super excited! It feels like an early Christmas and birthday party.
